Krakatoa east of Java
would aptly describe
my only palaver
with amazing, metaphrasing
Priyanka Batul Kobayash
(professor and mother of three)
which is to say she put
her hand on my knee
and it couldn't have been
more than a second before
to my undying shame
i came with a bang
as my poor little thang
gave up its lost fight
for the forces of right
she said son you're a helluva sight
but d'ya think that i might
take a wee-bitsy bite
of your thoroughly wonderful smile
so i can pretend
for just a short while
that the much vaunted style
of your erstwhile guru
has come into me to hum easily
and win the sweet boy of my dreams
not you
not you
not you
not you
not yoooooou
because of the wonderful things he do
to me
(in your dreams)

hmmmm...
can only go hmmmm and wonder.
:)
nice one though. (Im a bit slow)
very cryptic. atleast I get one of the verses, thats not so bad.
PS: I know im slow, but this seems like something you'd write, wake up the next morning (sober) and go hmmm...sounds cool. why not!
Many thanks - got it via email as well and was wondering who wrote it - extremely evocative, electric and strong....
I think the poet in you is now getting out fo control - let him run, dance and play!!!
shukran all.
@RR, i think you're right, it is getting out of control... this one just flowed and i didn't have to spend days (weeks) tinkering with it.
